I've discovered a better way to get the phone to recognize the 1GB Kingston SD Card.
Here's a step-by-step guide: *Warning: 1) The resets will erase your photos and settings, so do back them up first in a PC.

2) The following methods worked for me, though I must add you're trying the codes at your own risk Wink FYI, I'm using the D900DXFG5 version* 1) Do a custom reset by pressing *2767*2878# 2) You will see a white screen with the message 'E2P custom reset'.

3) The phone then restarts. You should be able to access your card now.

4) By doing the custom reset though, the GPRS function (denotated by a blue 'G' icon)is also activated. To deactivate it, press #*7288#

5) You will see a white screen with the message 'GPRS detached'. After a while, the annoying blue GPRS icon will disappear. Press the red 'end call' button to get back to your original screen. That's about it! Prior to trying this, I did a full reset with *2767*3855# followed by #*7288# to deactivate the GPRS. After the two steps, the phone failed to recognize the card.
However, I tried the custom reset followed by the GPRS deactivation, and the phone now reads the card like a charm.

I work at a mobile phone store and had waited months for the D900 to come to Australia and I have to say that it was definitely worth the wait. I've been reading some of the other comments and I cannot understand the ones about the battery. As someone who is always using my phone as an example at work I use the features such as the MP3 player, the camera and bluetooth quite extensively and couldn't be happier with the battery. I actually find it amazing how fast the battery can be fully charged usually taking less than 2 hrs. The only thing I think Samsung could have looked at would be customizing the SMS alert but having had 3 samsung phones now it isn't a major problem. Overall an excellent phone!

Looks are deceptive with this phone - firstly I'll start with the plus points. The phone couldn't possibly look any better, sleek, sexy and sliding, top marks for appearance. The physical qualities are excellent, this phone must be the slimmest on the market at the moment not to mention the lightest. Yet that's as far as it goes I'm afraid. The guys at Nokia must be splitting at the sides with laughter at Samsungs latest D-series edition. It simply does not compare to the sliding Nokia range. So as anticipated here comes the moan. The phone is priced around the same as the Nokia N80, N90 both of which are similar. Yet with the Samsung D900 you do not get a memory card or built in FM radio. You cannot customize your message alert tone - its a choice between the best sounding (sort of cheesy not to mention embarrassing) default tone. The video capture cannot be played back in full screen, meaning that recorded and blue-toothed video is played on a very disappointing small screen. Why have they bothered with such a large screen? It may be of high quality yet it is frustratingly small to decipher, and there is no way of changing this. The Nokia phones offer just as good a camera, yet they are able to offer a memory card - which can be expensive, and a built in FM radio. I've only had the phone for 1 day and already I've packed it back into its box. In all, it's a very poor attempt from Samsung its no different from its previous D-series apart from an up-graded camera and thinner handset. The Nokia phones are pioneering the way forward at the moment. Better value and more for your money.

Rubbish Mobile Phone. Screen cracked within 2 months in my pocket! Was told by Samsung that it was my fault and have to pay £75 repair fee. After reading that other people phones had done the same thing I decided to not pay the fee & phoned up to get my phone back. & was told to pay 18 to get it back!

It's a great phone with lots of good features. First and formost thing that you will notice about this phone is the large screen, and when you play video on fullscreen its excellent. The 3MP camera is also very good one. sound quality is excellent. If you buy one you will never regret...
