Sony Ericsson has announced the latest pair of phones to be offered under its Walkman brand, the Zylo and Spiro , music and social networking-oriented slider phones.
Sony Ericsson Zylo is a 3G slider and is the first Walkman to supports the FLAC audio format (high fidelity audio).
Of course this being a Walkman, it offers a full-function audio player with Album art, Automatic playlist creation, Clear bass, Clear stereo, PlayNow, SensMe, Shake control and TrackID. The phone also sports a 3.2-megapixel shooter and a 2.6 in, 240 x 320 TFT display.
It'll hit "selected markets" in the third quarter of this year in the colours "Chacha Silver", "Jazz Black" and "Swing Pink".
Next up, the Spiro rocks a slider form factor and boasts a 2-megapixel camera, Facebook and Twitter applications and a Walkman Player that can play MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAc+ audio formats. Sorry, but no FLAC support on this device.
The Spiro Walkman will be available in "selected markets" from early Q3 in the colours Contrast Black, Sunset Pink, Spring Green and Stealth Black.
