|Haier is usually not considered to be in the league of major players, it has surprised us by introducing an extremely well made smart phone. The Haier N60 is a linux smartphone and one of the first to be available in the market. Drawbacks include the absence of WI-Fi as well as bluetooth, but one cannot complain when faced with a gorgeous 320 x 240 touch screen display (262,000 colors). In any case, Wi-FI access can be made available by means of adding the respective card in the SD card slot. But no bluetooth? You have to be kidding. No wonder Haier has not reached the big league yet. However the N60 is simply stunning to look at. The device is powered by a 312 Mhz processor.|
The handset has about 60 MBs of memory which may seem less if one takes into consideration that the smartphone can store and view / play a large number of file formats. It has a MP3 and MPEG player as well as video recorder (which records in MPEG). The camera is a 1.3 megapixel resolution one. The tri-band Haier N60 has a weight of 131 grams.
The handset seems destined for something big, its a pity that Haier thought it prudent to go on without Bluetooth.
