I bought this unit L700 and its nice to look at...slim,solid and besides camera is very clear. you try!
yes, you try! slim, solid & clear camera shots.you can crop images,u can choose shot into mosaic, multi, mode, single. you can choose also the picture into no effects,black in white,sepia & negative.you can insert frame or no frame.thereis view fider mode,balance your shot into auto matic, daylight, incandscent, flourescent & cloudy options.nice keypads,good sounds. But the battery last 3 days only when it is fully charge.
Definitely worth it!gud features for such an affordable price.I just love its metal looks

This phone is not bad,actually very bad. Worst thing is that no battery back up,no themes,no game supported,don't buy it from my advice.

This is very good. The camera has a very good picture clarity.
SAMSUNG SGH L700 and Airtel 64K SIM are not compatible. I was shocked when this happened to me. My 32K SIM was working fine until I moved to 64K SIM and all the problems began. Now the phone does not start with the 64K SIM. It works with 16,32,128K but not with 64
Either AIRTEL should keep the option of providing 32K SIM or SAMSUNG should provide software upgrade. At the Authorised Service Center for SAMSUNG they are saying that no solution has been provided for this problem. Now I cant buy a new cellphone. So I guess I will have to change the connection which still uses 32K SIM or those whose 64K SIM are compatible with SAMSUNG.
this phone looks good & smart but no themes can b installed...

Well guys I have read through all of these comments and now I will add my own; I just sold my iPhone 3G 16Gb because I am over it and wanted to but something else high end like the HTC HD, so while I am looking around I wanted a cheap but well featured phone to keep me going.
I am currently living in Thailand and out shopping last week I spotted this L700 in the Samsung Store....WOW! only 3700 baht - steel casing, free leather Samsung case, free 2GB card, Bluetooth, 3G, Front camera phone, 2MP camera with flash, MP3 ringtones, video recorder/player, bright white keypad backlighting, 2.2" screen and document viewer, jeez I thought all my christmas's had come at once so I bought it quick.
So how well does it work, I was gonna moan and whine about the lack of themes and the 3GP support only (MP4 not supported dammit!) but you know what? why slag off something that has all these extra's, looks so damn pretty, and more importantly, is so damn cheap. You get what you pay for my friends, and in this particular example I think it fair to say that you actually get more than you have paid for.
PS: s'pose I should have mentioned that the phone works well, call quality is loud and clear at both ends, keypad a little tight for large fingers but can be managed ok, reads documents very well using page zoom feature, screen is clear and bright, media player is nicely laid out and displays album art, reaches about 65% of apple ipod volume, speaker phone is loud enough to be usable, FM radio works great, feels high quality because of solid construction, camera is packed with features but in truth it takes good pictures only in perfect lighting conditions! flash is nice addition but has little or no effect at all, cannot use flash as light, but hey it looks so good, a very attractive phone.
PPS I have now tested nearly every new high end phone on the market, and Thailand has most of them, sick thing is that maybe I should not have been so hasty in selling my iPhone!!!!!!! I truly cannot find any phone with a better touch screen HONESTLY.
Why did you sell your iphone for this junk?
This is unique for study . It reads ppt,pdf.doc,xls and others, so easy to see them. Good Image editor and also camera & video call & other utility's . But so many restriction also has . But this is an excellent phone...
Its a nice looking phone and user friendly. camera quality and music quality adorable.But the only one problem is the unavailability of themes for this.
It has a metallic body and it looks good, has a good picture quality, loud sound, 3G, but it has a week network signal, no extra space for messaging, no themes for this model, opera mini not work on the operating of internet.
