this is a good phone really, but i had a very silly problem with it: 1- there's only 5 caller groups and i can't increase them, and why i can't make a separate ringtone for every user?? there's any help with that ? 2- that phone comes without games?? i got it free of games, but it doesn't make any problem to me, but just want to know if all 6230 are the same ! 3- my firmware V 3.17 and date 2004, and it doesn't read more than 128 MB MMC. 4- it would be nice if i can record from FM, but i know i can't .. no problem with that:) 5- screen is low quality now.. it's pitty! thank u and i need help with caller groups problem

hi, I have a problem with my Nokia 6230, maybe one of you can help me out. I just moved from Europe to the US, taking the Nokia 6230 I purchased one year ago in Europe with me. I started a contract with T-Mobile here in the US. The problem: People who have Sprint or Verizon as their service provider cannot call me! I have no problem receiving calls from T-Mobile or Cingular people though. I suspect this has something to do with the former being CDMA networks and the latter being GSM networks. But as the Nokia 6230 is a tri-band-phone working on 900, 1800 and 1900 frequencies, I should be fine, right? Making calls from my phone to anyone works fine. But when Verizon or Sprint people try to call me, a tiny telephone symbol appears for a split-second in the top left corner of my Nokia's display, and that's it, no ringing, no chance to pick up. The callers hears message like "subscriber is out of the covered area" or something, they can't even leave a voice message. (They can leave a message though when I turn off my phone, which is weird.) I talked to Nokia and T-Mobile, and both say, it's not their problem. What can I do? Is my phone just not suited for the US, is it broken or do I just have to change some setting? Thanks for your help.

It's a great phone, easy to handle. It has everything you need to live in a city, works excellent with a 1 Gb MMC card (for many, many songs)good pictures at night and it works after getting wet! Bluetooth and infrarred is excellent for downloading pictures easy and fast. You can download pictures with a card reader, no need of USB cable. It beats many other brands. I strongly recomend it.
