| A 24 year old Indian youth was killed when a Nokia 1209 mobile phone, released in 2008, exploded in his face. He was found dead yesterday, with burns to his left ear, neck and shoulders, near a farm in Bandha village close to the city of Kota. Police recovered pieces of the exploded Nokia 1209 device scattered nearby the body. |

"We have made the decision to focus exclusively on Windows Phone 7 and we will not ship KIN in Europe this fall as planned. | Adobe announced the release of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 to mobile platforms, starting with Google’s Android 2.2 FroYo OS. | HP and Palm announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which HP will purchase Palm at a price of $5.70 per share of Palm common stock in cash or an enterprise value of approximately $1.2 billion. The transaction has been approved by the HP and Palm boards of directors. With expected revenues for the third-quarter between $285 million to $310 million, Palm was looking for suitors interested in purchasing the struggling company. Palm’s current chairman and CEO, Jon Rubinstein, is expected to remain with the company. |
