Sony Walkman NW-A800 Video MP3 Player

Sony inaugurated a new Walkman-branded player. As the company reports, the NW-A800 is the first Walkman model to feature video playback capabilities.

For the first time with a WALKMAN you can experience quality video footage along side crystal clear audio with the new WALKMAN Video MP3 player NW-A800 series from Sony.

The WALKMAN Video MP3 player is small enough to slip into any bag or pocket, with a colour-rich 2” QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) colour TFT LCD screen that offers unbeatable clarity, high contrast and supreme colour reproduction. Video footage can be viewed on the screen both horizontally and vertically to further enhance the entertainment experience. Downloading video content is easy with a simple drag and drop mechanism - video playback supports the widely used MPEG-4 and high quality codec of AVC (H.264/AVC) Baseline profile formats, at up to 30 frames per second. File conversion, if needed, can be achieved via the supplied ImageConverter software.

Kenwood TRIO K-TR10D + K-TR10A

Kenwood is presenting its vision of the top quality sound system for a car in the form of its brand TRIO. This is no tuning car competition so no, it’s not about having the biggest BOOM BOX in order to make your nose bleed of blow your ears…pretty much the opposite actually. What we have here is refinement, but a refinement that can still possibly blow all the windows of the neighbourhood if, when used with the K-TR10D CD player, you wanted to experiment the maximum level with an Opera compact disc…Still, the best would be to use the 4 K-TR10A mono amplifiers of 80W each in order to get the best out of it.
You might as well need to sign a 3,100$ cheque for the K-TR10D+K-TR10A×2 (2ch set) and 5,100$ dor the K-TR10D+K-TR10A×4 (4ch set).

Microsoft's Zune hits the shelves

Microsoft Zune

Microsoft's Zune sparked some interest among online consumers in its debut Tuesday, but the portable music player fell far short of sparking a buying frenzy.

Zune, which is going head-to-head against Apple Computer's market leading iPod, moved up to as high as No. 6 on Amazon.com's top seller list for electronics, behind the iPod and iPod Nano, a smaller version of the digital player. The iPod was consistently No. 2.

The number of online searches for Zune showed some consumer interest during its first day of sales. But again, it fell short of the iPod.

"The iPod is head and shoulders above, when it comes to the volume of searches," said Matt Tatham, a spokesman for Web metrics firm Hitwise.

Saint B MP3 Player Concept

The Saint B is an MP3 player concept out of Russia in a chrome-plated steel body frame.

Control elements and OLED-display are covered by flexible, semi-transparent plastic. A log in to the computer and charging are via USB port.

Concept: A form of the player is inspired by the original Christian symbol, the cross. Indeed, we wear it in the same manner as a player - around the neck.
