If you ever got used to Sony Ericsson, this device is a pain to operate and is totally not user friendly:( Wish I know how to istall Java fils on it and other content!

Hi, This mobile as Mark said is a pain to operate if you used nokia or soneyericsson, but the two sim works together perfectly, the only problem is that you can not set the network manually for the slave sim. Thanks

You can set slave manually (as I found out accidentally). Be sure you are at the correct location to toggle between the 2 sims using the button on the top left side of the hp. If you can do this, you can sms or call using either sims, primary or slave.

You guys are right about the phone being a real pain, i have a sony ericsson w800i and just bought this phone because of the dual sim functionality, now i am looking for a buyer, cos its difficult to operate.

used Sony Ericsson and Nokia (symbian and multimedia systems ) i bought the D880 and actually it was my first time with Samsung PERFECT phone , can be used easily , and as atef shata said , better than nokia's softwares ( multimedia softwares - can't be compared to symbians, different systems- ) very easily operated , really useful

I fallen n love with this mobile, I was annoyed little bit from lacking of LAN or Wireless Internet Connection, and also looking for THEMES !!

i had my unit for a couple of days already and im definitely enjoying it this time...it's advantage compared with bringing 2 phones with their charger on your trip...anyway, i agree that it's a pain in the ass in the beginning...but, i tell u guys, try to know more your duos phone; because it is actually easy to use...by the way, dont compare it to nokia, coz those 2 are actually different. they have their own way to execute their stuff....anyway, gudluck guys and hav fun with ur duos!

i find this phone great. it's not that hard to get used to it..you just have to realize that each brand has its own style of making their units unique from the others. anyway, java games are usually in jar files. you can actually just save them as is. but you have to convert the .jar file first to .jad (find a JAD maker online) before you can install it in your phone. save both .jar and .jad file then install .jar..hope this helps.ü

Tiz phone is marvelous. the only thing i dislike is it will reboot when i want to use either sim cards..

this fone is great..i can use two different network at the same time when im in my country..disadvantages is that i cannot use both of them when im in roaming..only one sim at a time..only the primary sim is workin..u have to switch manually to use the other sim

sharon, you don't have to reboot it when switching sim cards. you can select sim before you call/send sms by toggling the sim card button on the left side of the phone.

I don't like the phone. It's a great ideia use two sim cards into the same phone but the sound volume and the themes are very poor. It's not user-friendly when compared with Nokia.

u cannot install applications bigger than 500kb. what is worse u cannot install them on memory card only to phone memory and you got there only 4MB not more. this sucks. for java install you will need .jad file, use jadmaker.

i used this mobil it is so complict to use it & i se the sony ericson or nokia is the best & only the diferent in some this phone is the dual sim card in it i dont love it & i will buy it to brin to me a sonyericson w920

Yaroo to enter vertical space, hold down # key, a menu appears, you can scroll down and select the desired symbols.. in this case, choose the bottom right symbol- just like 'enter' key symbol of pc keyboard.

Sharon it's not true that it will reboot when you want to switch to the other sim. try to find out the small switch on the top left. you can switch sims from there !! (after entering the number to be dialled / before sending a message). but, still I'm struggling to install Java applications.. any help, anybody!!

I love this phone, both sim are active. To place a call just select a contact, and toggle between the two sim using the button on the upper left side of the phone its that easy. Same goes with sending txt message, press button to select which sim you want to use. It's that easy!

nice phone, v v useful for using 2 nos at a time and free us from the difficulty of putting two phones in a pocket

he who want to instal some java application on dous just visit www.getjar.com. select your device as samsung d880 and enter the application(you want to install in the search menu and see what you got. have fun.

try todownload a jar to jad converter.convert ur file then copy both jad and jar format to ur fone andit works 100% garantee

i dont know why you guys say its a pain to operate..... probably you do not have the right intelligence to use such a wonderful phone....
