SMS Technology Australia has introduced a waterproof watch phone, the M500. It has already made it through FCC - the device, as the maker claims, offers a complete suite of calling features.

 With over 80 hours standby time, full sms functionality, full blue tooth compatibility, Dial Up Networking, Games, Mp4 Player, 128 Mb Memory,USB connectivity for software uploads, downloads, 99 number memory storage, 40 embedded real tones make this the world's first truly mobile wristwatch.

As concepts go, this seems bright. But is it really better than what we've got?
