Double Anti-Blur technology
The Cyber-shot T50 features Sony Double Anti-Blur technology for crisp, clear photos. An extremely high sensitivity of ISO 1000 allows successful handheld shooting even when shooting indoors or at dusk. For even more natural looking results, Sony Clear RAW NR image processing helps suppress colour noise that tends to occur at high sensitivity settings. Complementing the camera’s high sensitivity, the T50 also features Super Steady Shot – an optical image stabiliser that combats the effects of camera shake, one of the biggest causes of spoiled pictures. An icon appears on the display to confirm when Super SteadyShot is active. This Dual Anti-Blur combination of high sensitivity and Super Steady Shot ensures that the Cyber-shot T50 captures clear, blur-free images, even in situations where other compact cameras struggle.
Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens
The high-quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens features a 3x Optical Zoom range. 6x Precision Digital Zoom and 14x VGA Smart Zoom modes provide even greater magnification of distant objects.
Large 3.0-inch 230,000 dots Clear Photo LCD Plus touch screen
The hybrid 3.0-inch touch-sensitive screen features Clear Photo LCD Plus technology for clear, vivid image reproduction. The screen’s smooth anti-reflection layer improves image quality while suppressing reflections for increased contrast, especially outside in bright sunlight. A wide range of shooting and playback functions can be accessed directly via the LCD touch panel. A unique Flexible Spot AF function lets you focus directly on a specific part of the image with a single touch on the screen. The paint function permits artistic additions to photos using the touchscreen and supplied Paint Pen stylus. Smart illumination automatically turns off distracting on-screen icons while a scene is being composed. Display brightness can also be adjusted directly without the need to access the menu.
High-sensitivity movie recording
The camera’s high sensitivity allows movie recording in light as dim as 10 lux (approx. 1.3 EV). Optical zoom is also possible when recording movies for greater creative options. It’s easy to control start, stop, forward and rewind functions simply by tracing with a finger on the LCD touch panel during movie playback.
Slideshow with Music
Images can be viewed on the camera’s large 3-inch LCD screen as a slideshow. Slideshows can be customised further with the additional of effects (simple, nostalgic, stylish, active) and optional music accompaniment (4 preset tunes). Bundled Music Transfer software allows this preset music to be replaced with favourite songs stored on your PC.
Picture Motion Browser software
It’s easy to transfer and manage photos with any PC using the supplied Picture Motion Browser software. The easy-to-use package automatically organises images uploaded from the Cyber-shot T50 that can be browsed in calendar format. In conjunction with Sony GPS-CS1, images can also be displayed in Picture Motion Browser’s ‘map view’ mode, indicating where as well as when they were taken. The camera’s generous 56MB internal memory is complemented by storage using optional Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo media. The Cyber-shot T50 also supports PictBridge, the standard for printing directly to compatible PictBridge photo printers, such as the Sony DPP-FP55.
STAMINA battery technology delivers 400 shots from single charge
The supplied Lithium Ion battery features improved Sony STAMINA technology, to deliver up to 400** shots on a single charge. This equates to over 3 hours continuous shooting time.
