Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman

Sony Ericsson unveiled its latest Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman. The Live Walkman phone comes with only 320MB of internal memory and a 2GB memory card included in the kit (expandable upto 32GB via microSD slot) and has a 16M color 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen.

Running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is powered by a 1GHz CPU and is equipped with HSDPA support that offers you high speed internet access. The 115g Walkman has a dedicated Walkman hardware button that provides instant access to the music player, stereo loudspeakers, Sony's xLOUD technology and TrackID music recognition.

Available in Black and White colors, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will be available in selected markets from Q4 2011.

Nokia 500

Nokia today introduced the 500, a smartphone powered by Symbian Anna OS.

The Nokia 500 comes with a 1GHz Single CPU, GPS, 5-megapixel camera and a 3.2-inch capacitive touch display.

Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA connectivity (HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps & HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps) and USB 2.0.

Available in a colour choice of black or white and with optional interchangeable covers, it should be around towards the end of summer. The anticipated retail price of the Nokia 500 is EUR 150, before taxes and subsidies.

Sony Ericsson txt pro - Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman

Sony Ericsson today introduced two new phones following a worldwide competition open to over 5 million fans that follow Sony Ericsson on http://www.facebook.com/sonyericsson.

The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman is an 3.2-megapixel cameraphone with WiFi, 100MB internal memory and a microSD card slot. The Mix Walkman supports GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 and promises up to 13 hours of battery life when listening to music.

Sony Ericsson txt pro is a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone and features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Stereo FM Radio, 262K TFT capacitive touchscreen (240X400 pixels, 3-inches), Facebook and Twitter apps, 100MB of internal memory and expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot, Wi-Fi and a 3.2-megapixel shooter.

Both the Mix Walkman and the txt pro are expected in Q3 2011.

Nokia Oro

Today Nokia unveiled a high end luxury phone, the Nokia Oro.

Nokia Oro incorporates a sapphire crystal and leather from one of Scotland’s finest Caledonian herds. The smartphone will also have its body shine in 18-carat gold plate finish.

Hardware wise, there’s a 3.5-inch 640 x 360 capacitive touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera with dual-led flash, 8GB of storage, WiFi and GPS.

The Oro is a GSM/GPRS 850-900-1800-1900 and UMTS 850-900-1700-1900-2100 smartphone that will be available in Nokia Oro Light and Nokia Oro Dark colors.

The Nokia Oro will be available in selected countries across the Europe, Eastern Europe, China and the Middle East in Q3 2011, priced at a whopping €800 (~$1150)

Nokia unveiled a new entry-level cell phone, the Nokia X1-01.

This dual-SIM device has no connectivity features (only GSM) and no camera, but Nokia claims the device provides around 13 hours of talk-time and 43 days of standby life.

Other features include a MicroSD card slot (expandable up to 16GB), MP3 player, FM radio, dedicated music keys and built-in flashlight.

Priced at €34 before taxes or subsidies, the Nokia X1-01 will be available in India, China, South-East Asia/Pacific region, Middle East and Africa, Eurasia and Brazil in the upcoming weeks.

Sony Ericsson Xperia mini Pro

Sony Ericsson today introduces two new phones to the Xperia phone family -  Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro (pictured above).


The two mini devices are powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and run the latest  Android OS – Gingerbread 2.3.


Other features include: 5MP camera with autofocus and capability of 720p HD video recording (Xperia Mini Pro has a front VGA videocall camera), Mobile BRAVIA Engine Reality Display, Wi-Fi, HSPA, document readers, Facebook app ('Facebook inside Xperia') and Twitter integration. Xperia mini pro also features a slide-out QWERTY keypad and videocalling.


Available in black, white, pink and turquoise (Xperia mini pro) and black, white, dark pink and blue (Xperia mini), both phones are targeted for a Q3 2011 release.

BlackBerry Bold 9900

Research In Motion expands its Bold smartphone lineup with two additions - BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 Smartphones.


Both new phones are the thinnest BlackBerry smartphones yet, at only 10.5mm, and run on the BlackBerry 7 operating system.


Some other features found on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 smartphones include: NFC (Near Field Communications) support, augmented reality, 5-megapixel camera with capability of 720p HD video recording and autofocus and BlackBerry Browser with support for HTML5.


For cellular connectivity, the Bold 9900 supports HSPA+ connectivity, and the 9930 supports CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and HSPA+ global roaming on GSM/UMTS networks.


No detail on pricing but both smartphones are expected to be available beginning this summer.

HTC Sensation

Today HTC announced a new addition to its Android with HTC Sense-powered devices lineup, the Sensation (previously rumored as 'Pyramid').


HTC Sensation is an Android 2.3 Smartphone with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU inside clocked at 1.2GHz.


Other features of the Sensation phone include SRS virtual surround sound, 4.3 inch Capacitive Touchscreen display with 16M colors, miniSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 8MP digital camera with autofocusand 1080p HD video recording.


The HTC Sensation will be first available from Vodafone in Europe and in Asia later in the summer.

Nokia X7

Nokia today unleashed two new smartphones, the X7 and E6. Nokia X7 and Nokia E6 are the first devices powered by an updated version of the Symbian^3 OS - aka Symbian Anna (PR2).

The renewed version of the Symbian operating system comes with with new icons, a faster browser, improved text input and updated Ovi Maps.


The Nokia X7 is an entertainment-focused device and features a 4-inch AMOLED display, 8-megapixel camera with capability of 720p HD video recording and quad speakers! The X7 comes preloaded with HD games: Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD.


Nokia E6 is a compact business smartphone build on the success of hit-models such as the E71 and E72 . Features include a 8-megapixel camera, a 2.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, a full QWERTY keypad, office capabilities and 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable with microSD cards, up to 40GB.


Both devices support GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 radio access schemes and will be available from Q2 2011.

Nokia Astound C7
Today Nokia announced the upcoming availability of the Nokia Astound smartphone in the US market, sold in Europe as the Nokia C7 . The Astound will be available exclusively from T-Mobile USA beginning April 6, for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate card with a two-year service agreement and qualifying voice and data plan.

T-Mobile Sidekick 4G

T-Mobile unveiled the new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G manufactured by Samsung . The new Sidekick 4G is an Android-powered smartphone that pays tribute to its heritage with its style.

Featuring a cool sliding QWERTY Keyboard, 4G Network speeds of up to 21 Mbps, a large 3.5-inch touchscreen, 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, Sidekick Group Text and Cloud Text messaging and social networking capabilities, this phone will be at the top of every teenager's wish list (if it gets priced correctly).


The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G will be available later this spring at your local T-Mobile store, in two colors: matte black or pearl magenta.

Nokia X1-00

Nokia today introduced the X1-00, a music phone targeting a more budget conscious audience given its fairly small feature set.


The Nokia X1-00 comes with a 1.8-inch TFT display with the resolution of 128 x 160, microsd card support (up to 16GB), FM Radio, MP3 player and a whopping 2 months of standby time on a full charge.


The X1-00 is a GSM/EGSM 900/1800 and 850/1900 phone that will be available in Orange, Ocean blue and Dark grey in selected markets beginning in April 2011 at an estimated retail price of EUR 34, excluding taxes and subsidies.

Apple iPad 2

Apple has announced the iPad 2, the successor to the iPad tablet, and competition to the newly announced Sasmung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Motorola XOOM.


The tablet receives a new design that is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad and comes with Apple’s new dual-core A5 processor.


Other features include: a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime and PhotoBooth and a rear-facing camera with capability of 720p HD video recording, up to 10 hours of battery life and Smart Covers in a range of vibrant colors.

HTC Incredible S - HTC Desire S - HTC Wildfire S

Android-powered devices are popping up like mushrooms at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. As expected, HTC has just announced a trio of smartphones - the HTC Incredible S , HTC Desire S and HTC Wildfire S .


HTC Desire S is the successor to the HTC Desire and features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, dual front and back cameras (VGA and 5MP) and a 3.7-inch Super LCD Capacitive Touchscreen display.


Built on the success of the HTC Wildfire, the HTC Wildfire S is an affordable 5-megapixel compact device, measuring just 10.13cm long and 5.94cm wide, and packs a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display.


In terms of specs, the HTC Incredible S has the biggest camera of the lot, a 8-megapixel shooter with dual-LED flash, autofocus and 720p HD video recording. It also sports a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for videocalling.

Other features include a 4-inch Super LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with 16.7M colors, 1.1GB of on-board storage, expandable with MicroSD cards of up to 32GB capacity and Wi-Fi.


The HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Wildfire S smartphones are a HSPA 900/2100 and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 phones, available during Q2 2011 in Europe and Asia.

HTC ChaCha

HTC today announced two new phones,the HTC ChaCha (pictured above) and HTC Salsa , built entirely for social networking, featuring a dedicated Facebook button, with the Facebook logo on it, for one-touch access to Facebook services that are integrated throughout the HTC Sense.


Running on the Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 OS, both devices sport a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash and both run on top of a 600Mhz processor.


HTC ChaCha has a physical QWERTY keyboard, a 2.6-inch, 480 x 320 resolution touchscreen and a VGA front-facing camera.


The HTC Salsa packs a reasonable 3.4-inch, 480 x 320 resolution capacitive touch display and a VGA front-facing camera.


The HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa phones are a UMTS 900/2100 (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) devices available beginning Q2 2011 in Europe and Asia. United States will get the phones later this year exclusively with AT&T.

Motorola PRO

At the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Motorola today announced Motorola PRO , an Android-powered business phone, for the European market.


The Motorola PRO features a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, a QWERTY keyboard, 2GB of internal memory and microSD card support (up to 32GB), hotspot support for up to five devices and comes with Android 2.2 Froyo.


Other features include Flash 10.1 support, a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors, a 5-megapixel shooter with autofocus and dual-LED flash.


This being a business device, you'll need a bunch of security additions and office tools such as "AuthenTec IPSec multi-headed VPN integration, remote wipe of device and SD card, and complex password support as well as device and SD card encryption" and "QuickOffice pre-loaded and email support (Corporate Sync, Gmail, POP3/IMAP embedded, Push Email, Yahoo Mail)", which this phone packs.

Samsung Galaxy Ace - Gio - Mini - Fit

Samsung today introduced four new Android-powered phones to the Galaxy phone family, the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the Samsung GALAXY Gio, the Samsung GALAXY Mini and the Samsung GALAXY Fit.


The Samsung GALAXY Ace is immediately available in Russia and will be available in other European countries, India and China.


The Samsung GALAXY Gio will come to Russia and gradually to other European countries, India and China.


The Samsung GALAXY mini is available in Russia and will gradually roll out in other European countries, India and China.


The Samsung GALAXY Fit will be available from February in Russia and gradually to other European countries, India and South America.

Samsung has announced the Samsung GALAXY S II I9100 , the successor to the Samsung GALAXY S I9000 .


The GALAXY S II measures just 8.49mm and packs a whole lot of good features like a 4.27'' SUPER AMOLED Plus Capacitive Touchscreen with 16 million colors, Near Field Communication (NFC optional), 1GHz Dual-Core ARM Cortex processor and Quad GPU, 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus and a 2-megapixel forward-facing camera for video calling.


The GALAXY S II will come with Android Gingerbread 2.3 and it features Samsung's popular TouchWiz UI.


The phone will be available by the end of Q1 2011.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY

As promised by Sony Ericsson , they have officially unveiled its Xperia PLAY phone at the MWC in Barcelona.


Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU at 1Ghz and with an embedded Adreno 205 GPU, the PlayStation phone will deliver a smooth 60fps 3D mobile gaming with minimal power consumption of up to 5.5 hrs game play time.


Lots of games will be available for Xperia PLAY including the following titles: Need For Speed, Sims 3, FIFA 10 mobile multiplayer, Guitar Hero, Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell and more.


The company said that Xperia PLAY will be available in selected markets from March 2011, with up to 7 pre-loaded PlayStation games.
